1. Bitmanagement Partners with Spatial View

Spatial View Inc. (Toronto), and Bitmanagement Software GmbH (Munich), have entered into a joint-venture partnership to leverage the respective strengths of each company in 3D display hardware and real-time 3D software. This natural collaboration will deliver tightly integrated, high impact solutions to developers and consumers of real-time 3D applications and content.

2. Bitmanagement Attends 2005 International Conference on Cyberworlds

Bitmanagement Software GmbH will be presenting its unique solutions to attendees of the conference, which is to be held in Singapore from 23 to the 25 November 2005. Bitmanagement will showcase 3D applications and research projects specifically related to Cyberworlds and based on its real-time 3D client platform, BS Contact, which leverages the international standards of X3D, VRML and MPEG-4. 3. Vice Presidential Appointment for Web3D Consortium

Peter Schickel, CEO of Bitmanagement Software GmbH (Munich) and board member of the Web3D Consortium (Monterey, California) has been appointed to the role of Vice President of the Web3D standards organization. Throughout his career and most recently as CEO and co-founder of Bitmanagement Software, Mr. Schickel has been instrumental in the development and promotion of Web3D standards such as VRML and X3D. It is expected that this new role will promote greater collaboration between Bitmanagement and Consortium members and increase the awareness and use of standards within the European marketplace.

Bitmanagement is proud to announce the December release of the BS Exporter for Blender. Blender is rapidly becoming the 3D modeling, animation and rendering tool of choice for those seeking high productivity aand photorealistic quality output from free and open-source software. The free BS Exporter for Blender will empower the talented Blender community to deploy their creations using Web3D ISO standards, via the high-performance BS Contact engine.

7. 3D GIS for Civil Protection

French software developer EMI (Port de Bouc) has developed a tool that extends and enhances existing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to deliver real-time 3D simulations, e.g. fire fighting scenarios. The 3D visualization core is supplied and supported by Bitmanagement Software GmbH.

8. 3D Animations Direct to Mobile Phones

Telecom Italia recently released a service that enables its users to send personalized 3D animated messages from a website, directly to mobile phones. This service utilizes Bitmanagement’s 3D software within a server application to render real-time 3D messages to video, which is then transmitted to the recipient’s mobile phone. Truly interactive 3D messaging is just one small step away.

9. Integrated Stereoscopic Solutions Presented at SYSTEMS

Bitmanagement Software recently teamed with a number of stereoscopic 3D display manufacturers at a combined booth during the SYSTEMS 2005 trade show in Munich. Integrated native support within our software for these special screens adds an extra spatial dimension and superior visual impact to virtual reality applications, without requiring restrictive 3D glasses.

10. Positive Growth Outlook for Bitmanagement

Bitmanagement Software GmbH anticipates continued strong growth and market expansion throughout 2006. As in previous years, profitability is anticipated due primarily to increased domestic and especially international sales of our real-time 3D software. Increasing demand from within the US represents significant foreign revenue opportunities for the enterprise. In the 2005 financial year Bitmanagement has achieved double the revenue of 2004 whilst maintaining a profitable, positive cash flow and commercially beneficial outcomes for company stakeholders.

Comment of the Day - Dynamic 3D Marketplace on the Move


The market for 3D applications and software is on the move. Corporate mergers and takeovers within the 3D market are on the rise. Many enterprises are looking to acquire quality, proven 3D technology as evidenced by recent announcements such as Adobe buying Macromedia, Avid buying Pinnacle and Autodesk buying Alias. Therefore many market commentators confidently predict that 3D technology is poised on the threshold of a boom. Software based on the international standards of VRML, X3D and MPEG-4 is anticipated to be especially sought after in this burgeoning market, and indeed the signs for a boom seem to be very promising as IT (desktop computing power, graphics cards and internet speed) nowadays is capable of meeting the performance and quality expections of clients.
