As technical format for visualization of architecture the ISO standard VRML (Virtual
Reality Modeling Language) is qualified as the smallest common denominator since it is optimized for the Internet as
Data-Export-Format for nearly all 3D-construction-programs.
Premises offered after completion of a construction project, can be promoted over the internet worldwide in advance. Today, the 3D models achieve a photo-realistic quality.
The 3D models are interactive, i.e. that the observer can move and
orient in a building - project freely in real time before start of the construction works.
References from the range of architecture are enough from simple
applications e.g. to the co-operative housebuilding society Humboldt
university e.G. over fastidious models e.g. from WS Atkins Ltd. up to
artistic beginnings as from Peter Eisenmann on the current Biennale in
Venice or also technically oriented concepts e.g. the factory planning of
tarakos GmbH.

Notice:
This demo is optimized for BS Contact VRML/X3D 7.0 and higher only.
"The end user owns more and more performing PCs/TVs and
internet access. Therefore the interface between companies and
customers - the client software - will have to support
functionalities like 3D, interactivity and multiuser.
We have actually recognised by our partners and customers
additional request regarding new applications, that will only
be possible due to front end technologies like the 'BS Contact
MPEG-4' player."
