interactive Inc, both founded in 1995 and financed by CMGI. Major
investor in the latest financing round of blaxxun interactive Inc
has been GE Equity, London, in April 2001.
The company Bitmanagement Software GmbH was founded in July 2002.
Bitmanagement is located near Munich in Berg, Germany.

Peter Schickel is founder of Bitmanagement Software GmbH and leads the company since its foundation in 2002. Prior he was head of research at blaxxun interactive AG which was focused to the development of 3D internet software.
At blaxxun he was directing the development of 3D viewer technology within 6 EC/BMBF R&D projects and built
up a network of leading European Technology Companies. Focus of his work was the transfer from R&D results into
commercial products, e.g. leading to winning the Digiglobe-Award for E-Commerce of Deutsche Telecom and Focus.
At the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Munich, Germany and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC)
in Milan, Italy, he was working from 1992 to 1998 at the development of graphical systems in the areas of Virtual Reality,
Remote Sensing (GIS) and GPS. He is accredited from the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) for Standardisation of VRML
and MPEG technologies and is active in the Web3D consortium – at the moment member of the Board of Directors – since 1998.
Mr. Schickel holds a degree in information science from the University of Technology Munich (TUM).
Axel Koerfer, Director Finance
Mr. Koerfer is also founder of Bitmanagement Software GmbH. He has been responsible at blaxxun interactive AG for accounting, controlling and finance. Prior Mr. Koerfer was Head of Financing of PreussenElektra AG, a major power producer in Germany. Mr. Koerfer gained worldwide experience in international sales- and project financing with SMS-Demag AG, where we worked for almost 7 years in the Finance department.
Mr. Koerfer holds a degree in Business and Economics from Münster University with focus on marketing and finance.
Holger Grahn, Chief Scientist
Mr Grahn is founder of Bitmanagement Software GmbH and Chief Scientist. He was distinguished
engineer at blaxxun for MPEG and 3D. His award winning VRML viewer GLView
was chosen and purchased by blaxxun in 1997 as the leading VRML viewer.
While at blaxxun Mr Grahn introduced many key 3D advancements to VRML and
was lead contributor to several VRML and MPEG-4 specifcations.
Norbert Böcker, Press Officer
Norbert Böcker is responsible for press-relations and external communications. Before, Mr. Böcker has been working for the Siemens AG,
Munich, Germany, among others as head of the press department. As journalist he wrote for national and international wellknown newspapers.
He studied economics at the LM University in Munich.
Klaus Kemmler, Senior Advisor
Klaus Kemmler has been responsible since 1997 at Sun Microsystems for
Sales Professional Services in Germany and Austria. Before he has setup
Professional Services at Sequent GmbH.
Mr. Kemmler hold several positions in sales, marketing and IT
Consulting at Digital Equipment. He studied electrical engineering
at university of Aachen in Germany.
